The visual perception needs to be a free form built of self similar elements or spaces, which convey a movement across the surface in vertical or horizontal direction! Additionally the surface needs to have varying degrees of openness via each element, such that it could function like a screen. Consider that the form and assembly might be flexible enough to accommodate a seating possibility as an option.
1. Digital Prototypes: Develop strategies for several digital parti models that play out the relationship between openness or transparency and the structural pattern. The position and orientation of each individual element controls the openness within the surface and such the light penetration through the surface.
You may only use sheet material for the individual elements or tiles. These should be cut out in an efficient way from larger sheets with the size of either 250 x 140 cm or 300 x 140 cm. Individual sheet sizes may range from 60 x 60cm to 100 x 100 cm. Thicknesses may vary depending on size between 1 to 1.5 cm.
Parameters for judgment are perception, assembly, vertical load bearing capacity and statics, joint system. The joining of the elements should at best not need additional different materials, though possible.

Re Explore “free form” construction systems, also known as structures with compound curvature. Constraint: It needs to be a free form built of same elements, not similar!
1.PPrototype: Develop one free three-dimensional form with double curved surface. This form inscribes a possible use. Define and construct this form with rules that you set up. You can only use same elements and those need be sticks. Build a prototype with maximum dimensions of 30/30/30 cm.
Develop a suitable method for the joining of the sticks.
